Vonage Fraud?

The End??

Posted in Uncategorized by PNG on April 15, 2010

I am overdue in updating this site regarding my specific situation.

For those who have followed the events related to my awful experience with Vonage that I have described in this blog, my particular story has come to a satisfactory end. And I have to say, that the people — and the primary person I was assigned to work with on this — were stellar.

My wish is that this trickled all the way down and throughout the company.

I will write more on this in the days to come. But I thought it important to at least provide this quick update in order to not leave this published story open ended.

To the person who so deftly handled both this situation and me, thank you. You went what I perceived to be above the call of duty. You were flexible and most generous. And gracious all the way through.

Given the balance of my interaction and experience with Vonage, I have been left wondering, half smiling, why you were at Vonage??

My very best to you…

I too, am very frustrated with Vonage. I cannot begin to tell you where the issues go wrong at except that I am not only frustrated with their inability to have professional customer service reps help me, so-called supervisors help me, nothing. When I first signed up with Vonage YEARS ago, all was well.

It’s really only been the last two that have driven me to the point of now searching for outside companies to switch my service to. Yes, they got me with the cancellation charges, yes, they’ve also gotten me with account change charges (which phone company charges you 10.00 to change you service when you are ALREADY doing it yourself through a user interface?! unreal.) Anyways, VONAGE was a great company.

Not so much anymore and yes, buyers beware. I am not a happy camper and have had at minimum three lines with them for the last four to five years.

WAKE UP Vonage…a good reputation can be ripped to shreds in seconds. A bad one is almost impossible to overcome!

Todays lunch break was wasted on Vonage…I am customer for almost 6 years, the rates they are offering in todays technology are NOT competitive…plus the devises they gave me 6 years ago are seriously slowing down my internet…
I stuck with them and finally decided that I don’t need to spend that much on my phone line, I have Google Voice and Skype..
As I am calling to cansell my servile they are zapping me with outrageous ‘disconnect fee’, that was never disclosed when I signed up for it…
I am going to call them again and record the whole conversation!
That’s not a way yo reword loyal customers! I thought I am supporting progress, now it’s just GREED.
Company with such policy is not gonna last!

Hi — Sure. If it’s well described with reasonable factual information and most of the emotion kept in check, this is the reason I’ve kept the site up.

The best way to do this is to write it up and post it here. I’ll check more frequently over the next couple of weeks. When I find it, I’ll give a quick review, if there’s anything that needs a bit of scrubbing I’ll let you know. After that, we can have it released to the public.

You’re not the only one still getting jerked around by Vonage.

    Thank you for writing in.
